The Duty to God Encampment (DTGE or D2G) provides an opportunity for all Scouts (Cubs, Boy Scouts and Ventures) to learn from each other about how a Scout can do his duty to God, as well as grow in his own faith. Scouts will receive information about the various religious awards recognized by BSA. This encampment can be used to fulfill requirement the religious information requirement for the Bear Cub Scout rank.  We are also planning an activity that will allow Boy Scouts to fulfill the orienteering requirement for the First Class rank.

Scouts attend as part of a unit. It is for all Scouts, Cub, Boy, Venture, Sea, Varsity.

What D2G is not…it is not a program to proselytize, evangelize, recruit, influence or in anyway sway Scouts into, or away from, one belief or another. It is also not a class to fulfill requirements for wearing the purple and silver religious knot. Classes leading to the religious knot are sponsored and conducted by individual faith institutions (churches, synagogues, mosques, temples, etc.). For information regarding the knot, talk to your local clergy and/or your RRC representive.
